The positioning map

Right means easier to implement. Up means more documented AI readiness. Larger circles mean a higher entry-price band. Color: green = tier 3; slate = tier 2; gray = not verified. The table below carries the same information.

How the map works

Five components contribute up to 20 points each: agent control, MCP tooling, in-product AI, machine-readable surfaces and data portability. AI bands: 80–100 Agent-ready; 60–79 Agent-capable; 40–59 Partial; 20–39 Manual; 0–19 Closed. Quadrants split at 5.5 on both axes and describe positioning, not a recommendation.

Price bands: 1 usable free tier; 2 under $100/month; 3 $100–500; 4 $500–2,000; 5 quote-only. Compliance tiers reflect published evidence, not a compliance guarantee. Ease is an editorial interpretation of the documented setup path.

Provisional zeros mean evidence still needs checking. This can understate a vendor’s capabilities. Review the breakdown before comparing totals. Research needs a final vendor-docs, repository and MCP-registry cross-check before editorial approval.
